I have a PC, and want to send specific data patterns or files out
through the PC's speaker audio port.
I am performing some electrical noise tests on my PC.

Does anyone know of a utility which will take a data file (ASCII,
binary, etc.), and send that data out through the computer's audio
port? The data would not be encoded.

How about saving your data in a .WAV file format ?

Maybe if he told us whether he is trying to send data to the internal
speaker, or via a sound card output, we could even tell him how to do it :-)
Then again if he was more specific about what tests he is trying to perform,
we could probably suggest a better method anyway.

I want to send the data through the internal/embedded audio controller
in the PC to the headphone jack. I will also be sampling the data
between the chipset and the external codec.

In that case any media player software and any supported audio data file
format should work fine.
If you need to create/edit the data then simply use any PC sound editor.
Many include sound generators, but there are more dedicated programs
available if necessary.
