Have been getting high frequency noise on my soundcards. The effect is
only really noticeable when pumped through some hefty power amps and
speakers in a quiet room. Worst offenders are the X-Meridian and b-
Enspirer boards, and is abscent on the X-Fi Fatality. After sending
one board back as supposedly faulty I have discovered the root cause
of the problem, which is an old CRT monitor sending crap through the
VGA cable. Listed here just in case anyone has such a problem in
future, although I suspect it's an artefact from a dying age since
everyone pretty much uses LCD monitors now.
