Hello:

When I turn on my HK HD500 cd player I get what I believe is an error
code in the Minutes/Track window (a capital "E"). CD's will not play.
I used to be able to open/close the cd door a few times and the "E"
would go away, and the player would finally be able to read and play my
cd's. But now that doesn't even work. Basically, when I turn the
HD500 on and/or feed it a cd to play, the Disc light blinks a couple
seconds after the cd door closes and then displays an "E" in the
Minutes/Track window. I assume the player can't see/read the cd's
anymore. Just wondering if someone might have a comment or suggestion,
or know specifically what the error code means. I've googled and
checked HK's website with no luck so far. TIA.
