Another inconvenient truth:

Best Regards
Tom.
And how do you know it's the "truth," Tom? 'Just curious.

Hello Ed
Large ammounts of particulate light blocking materials injected into
atmosphere will result in cooling. Volcanic eruptions have demonstrated
the effect.
Best Regards
Tom.

Yes, apparently they have. But what does that have to do with a few dozen
A-bombs in the 10 kT range?
The point is that there is a lot of speculative science going around, posing
as "inconvenient truth." This piece has the ring of somebody taking a long
theoretical reach into an area that has never been tested.
I'd pay attention to it but I'd be very skeptical.

I think I'd try to find an alternate method for injecting light

the long run to place a light blocking shade between the earth and sun

Its probably too late to reverse the effects of the global warming
trend now, we would probably be better off creating alternative energy
sources and living conditions for a future hotter earth. Perhaps
underground? |
