I believe it is called level 4 , 1 being taped, 2 being second coat, 3 being taped and 2 coats and 4 being level 3 plus a skim. I recall that it is for a higher level jobs adding a plaster like look and also to prevent "photographing" of the mudded areas through the primer and paint when compared to the sheetrock surface
