ok, it's actually even on topic - for those who are new, or have lost my web
address, I make up welded faceplates that fit many lathes from the OneWay
and Jet through some obscure Oliver lathes- see my web site below. If you
want to weld your own, you can get the nuts from me - or even advise -

and there is a selection of vacuum pumps and related stuff there too. right
now all the vacuum pumps I have are 3 phase, but it's pretty easy to make a
converter to run them (or I can make it for you).
