I suppose this is only loosely on topic but I was going to build a
pagola to hold my BBQ and for people to sit and eat in.

Do you know if Australian BBQs are a standard width? IE if I built a
frame to hold my current (rather antique) BBQ will its replacement
just slot into the same space?

Try ringing BBQs Galore or go for a visit with your tape measure.
