A family member owned and Acadian. It was a Canadian built car As I recall
it was a modification of a car sold in the US under a different name (with
a different front grille). Sorry I can't recall the American name but if
it were known then a manual for that vehicle would also serve for the
Acadian. Was it possibly called a Chevy II?

Only Canadians would have a clue what you are looking for.
It is more commonly called a Chevette, except in Canada.

That generation's Pontiac Acadian was just a rebadged Chevrolet Chevette.
Both were sold up here and are mechanically identical.

You're thinking of the '60s Pontiac Acadian. Different car.
