Hi there,

My Goodmans W282NS-T widescreen tv unfortunately needs repaired.
There are two capacitors that have 'blown' (C175&176), these can be easily
sourced, however, there are a couple of other components that have been
'charred' beyond identification - these are D23 and R168.
Does anyone know the details (or schematic) for the relevant replacements
please? (ie R168 is a 10K 10W resistor etc) - I have the cap details from
the can (M9C 1uF 100V) and if possible can you state to which part of the
system these relate?

My concern is that these components relate to some other part that may have
resulted in extensive damage!

Many thanks.....

SG:
You area correct in your assumption and concern...... some other faultly
components and circuitry are most likely involved. No way to guess over
the internet or telephone without some technical troubleshooting and
testing.
You might be best advised to TAKE your television to a service shop for a
repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decision with
facts instead of guesses.
